As part of our "Back to School Campaign", we are proud to announce the donation of much needed school shoes to rural school children.

As part of company's commitment to improve access to education for those in need, we have pledged in conjunction with Pen Foundation to donate 458 pairs of school shoes to 5 rural schools across 5 provinces.

The hand over of the shoes will take place at the Ngwabi primary school on the 21st of January 2016.

The school is remotely tucked away in the Matheni area, in the rural hinterlands of Zululand. The area has a high unemployment rate and the school has been the path to a better life for learners since the early 50s, when it was established by Rose and Arthur Nxumalo.

The Ngwabi primary school currently employs 5 teacher who teach over 160 learners from grade R to grade 4.

The other 4 schools that will be receiving shoes are:

  • Thari ya Tshepe primary School: Free State
  • Kgwaredi Primary School: Limpopo.
  • Dutyini Jnr sec: Eastern Cape
  • Thamisanqa Secondary School: Orange farm
